Running With the Light

Since about 1975 when I first met Jesus, I have seen 2 Chronicles 7:14 come to the forefront, get tossed around, then drift to the background, again and again. Never has it seemed more appropriate and necessary than now.

Here it is: IF my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, THEN will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Israel’s wisest king, had just dedicated the Lord’s great temple, that night God appeared to Solomon and told Him that He would send various troubles to the earth because of the sins of people, then He gave Solomon this amazing promise, as stated above.

Is there time left on America’s clock?

Let us who claim to follow Christ, linger on our knees and plead with our HOLY Creator, for a wind of change bringing humility, repentance (turning away from our private and public and national sin and rebellion) and obedience to His Word. It might be that He will hear from heaven, forgive our sin and heal our land.

There is a God, and we are not Him!
