Running With the Light

Yes, they do exist. Who are they? Are they souls or spirits of the departed? Are they good or bad?

According to the Bible, they are separate created beings. Those that chose to stay true to God are twice as many as those who followed Lucifer in his prideful fall from heaven.

God’s faithful angels minister at God’s bidding to those offspring of Adam who are heirs of salvation which is obtained through faith in Jesus’ redemptive work.

What about those other angelic beings who followed the other guy? They are known as demons. They are bent on destruction of all the offspring of Adam. But why? They can’t touch God, yet they can hurt God who has chosen to love ❤️ us! That’s right, he loves us even when we choose to run from Him and follow our own ways. He reaches out and pursues each one of us. His will is for us to be in His family.

But, aren’t we ALL God’s children? Some people say we are. John 1:12 says, “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” (English Standard Version).

Everyone CAN be in his family by receiving the gift of grace. It is a simple decision, still so many think like Adam and his dear wife, Eve – that God is holding out on them. You know, keeping the “good stuff” away from us. Not true! Sin separates, destroys and brings shame. At some point it also sears one’s conscience until there is no longer the ability to even know right from wrong or feel remorse for horrible, horrible deeds.

So, who are you going to call? Ghostbusters or the real deliverer? His name is Jesus, the promised Messiah.
