Running With the Light

I saw a man die yesterday! As a good Samaritan, I rendered aid, but he still died. Our days are written down, according to the writer of Psalms. In comforting a frightened friend of the one who died, I told her, he was not gone, he has just gone through a door to another place. We will all pass through that door, unless Jesus comes for his bride, then some won’t pass through that one. But it is appointed unto man once to die, and after this, the judgement. Do you believe that? If you don’t, do you think that changes the outcome?

I heard a story once of country doctor who was giving a grim prognosis to a patient who was very afraid of dying and not knowing what was next. Just then they heard scratching on the door. The doctor told the patient, that is my dog. He has never been in this room before, but he knows I am here and that is enough for him. If you have decided to turn from your sins and put your trust in Jesus, believing that he came, died for your sins and rose from the dead according to 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, you will know when your time comes, you have the dearest friend just beyond the door!
