Running With the Light

Since the goal of this blog is to document God sightings all around me, today I noticed that ALMIGHTY GOD will even use toilet paper rolls to bless people. This reminds me of a song I chose to place in my “funeral folder”, which is The Touch of the Masters Hand, sung by Wayne Watson. I am amazed that God would be able to use me and people like me to make beautiful music in this very sin plagued world! What even is sin you may ask. In the world of children’s ministry we teach that sin is anything we think, say, or do that breaks God’s laws or makes Him sad. Too simplistic? Can we make God sad? Or can we even make God almighty angry? God is love, but what is love without emotions?

Getting back to toilet paper rolls, they are surprisingly versatile in their usefulness, first, in supporting the toilet paper, but then in a myriad of craft projects! I can barely even throw one away (I mean, into the recycle container). Surely we are of far more value than these. God Almighty loves YOU! You are of great worth. Jesus suffered, died, rose from death, and sits at God’s right hand. For you and me!

Check out Ephesians chapter 2 with a special note of verse 10 which is preceded by verses 1 through 9. We have purpose which is prepared by God Himself! Amazing!
