Running With the Light

How can a person read the story of Samson’s life and not wonder how such a man could cave to the dripping faucet of his pretty wife Delilah (Judges 16).

For years I thought he was just stupid and weak willed. Today, however, I saw something different. There is not a word in Scripture that God won’t use to teach us – if we can hear. It is a living Word. As our lives change from day to day, what grabs our attention and has meaning changes too. A beloved preacher used to say; our focus determines our direction or destination.

It came into focus today, that the devilish hordes use this dripping faucet tactic constantly, especially with the young. Whispering, whispering, whispering lies about their identity, value, and purpose.

We are made in God’s image. Every one of us is highly valued, deeply loved and sought after. Call on this good God at all times and, give thanks to Him in all circumstances – this you won’t ever regret!
