Fast, Fast, Fast, and Fast

Run fast, stand fast, food fast (not fast food) morally loose (fast)

Run with patience (not necessarily fast) the race set before you. Having done all to stand, stand fast (Ephesians 6). This is the fast that the Lord has chosen. Flee immorality (don’t be fast).

So, where is the God sighting, you may ask?

His Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Every thought is disclosed to our great creator and He loves all who choose to put their trust in Him and love Him. It is then possible to run fast and not be weary, to stand fast and hold our ground in times of testing and temptation. In this there is true freedom.

If we are blessed with plenty to share with those who don’t have enough and if it is me who doesn’t have enough or chooses to go without, I can fast.

Last, I can understand to a small degree, my true worth and therefore – not be sold cheaply as if in the marketplace and thereby not be “fast”.

God loves us!
