Running With the Light

in my prayer group yesterday, a discussion about eyes circulated curiously. It was in my view, a God siting since it was somehow on everyone’s mind or reminders. I pondered this and realized that we not only see with our eyes, but we also communicate or speak with our eyes.

Further – Jesus taught that the eye is the light of the body. So, it is a peephole to the soul. What is going on in your soul? Not only does God see your thoughts, people can see some of what is going on in your inner self. This may be why people often wear sunglasses to hide their eyes when they are trying to hide their bad behavior.

God also guides His sheep with his eyes. Have you ever had someone get your attention by locking onto your gaze, then moving their gaze to a place they wanted you to go? God does that too. He is willing to guide your steps like a loving father with His eye upon you (Psalm 32:8).
